This house over in North Indy was so easy to photograph. Its a three bedroom ranch with a sunroom so it was already ticking a lot of my boxes. For every house I shoot, I like to figure out where my office would be if I bought it and it’s almost always the room with the most natural light. I guess most people wouldn’t think of a sunroom as an office but—hey—I am not most people :P

My Kind of 1 Million Dollar Listing
High end, luxury listings aren’t normally my specialty. I am perfectly content to stay in my happy little old house bubble—however, when an older luxury home is ready to go on the market—who you gonna call? Not ghostbusters! Me :D It’s hard to believe that anything built in 2002 can be considered “old” but here we are folks. Time keeps on ticking—even if you can only feel it in your knees when the weather turns.
I Took Way Too Many Photos of This House
This house was such a blast to photograph. My longtime client Cara Huffman at FC Tucker Crossroads in New Castle always has some awesome houses up her sleeve to send my way. This one was no exception. I actually ended up on site longer than usual just because I wanted to photograph * literally * everything in this house, haha. From the gym and bar in the basement to the pond and outdoor kitchen in the backyard, I was smitten with this house. Of course, it was a little bit out of my price range, so I'll just have to settle with getting to photograph it :P

While not required, the only time I prefer my agent (or an agent’s assistant) come along to a shoot is when a tenant will be present when photographing an occupied property. I feel like this gives the tenant peace of mind when an additional stranger is entering their living space and can negate any problems they may have. This duplex in New Castle was easy to get done quickly and the agent’s assistant was able to answer all of the tenant’s questions while I worked.
Not Just a College Rental in Muncie, Indiana
Not every college rental is a disaster. Or at least, not by the time I get to them. This gem could still be bought and used as a rental—each door has it’s own deadbolt for privacy and security, but it could easily be used as a normal ‘ol single family house. I was particularly taken with the enclosed porch on this house—alone with several other houses in this neighborhood. You don’t see houses built like that anymore. It’s like having a sunroom and a porch all in one!

I love a vacant house. It means I don’t have to move stuff, I don’t have to worry about me AND the homeowner in mirror reflections, and best of all, no one is around to see me board the struggle bus when it’s 100+ degrees out. Whew.

The Party House on the Hill
It’s been established that I don’t exactly photograph a lot of cookie cutter homes, but this one was all kinds of unique—even for the normal properties that I photograph. Like, look at this main bedroom. It takes up an entire floor, has a tub you could throw a party in, and even features another room for an office. I haven’t even gotten to the huge sunroom, theater room, and outdoor pool. I am so happy that I work with realtors that go all over the state because this house…you really had to see it to believe it!
